Tahmin gözlem açıklamaya dayalı etkinliklerin 8. sınıf öğrencilerinin kimya kavramlarını günlük hayatla ilişkilendirmelerine etkisinin incelenmesi

Abstract

Günümüz modern eğitim sistemlerinde, sorgulayabilen, neden-sonuç ilişkisi kurabilen, araştırmacı, öğrendiklerini günlük hayatta kullanabilen bireylerin yetiştirilmesi en önemli hedefler arasında yer almaktadır. Edinilen bilgiler ile günlük hayat arasında ilişki kurulması durumunda öğrenme daha kalıcı olmaktadır. Bu bağlamda da öğretim yöntemlerinde her geçen gün değişiklikler yaşanmaktadır. Bu çalışmada TGA yöntemine dayalı etkinliklerin 8. sınıf öğrencilerinin kimya kavramlarını günlük hayatla ilişkilendirmelerine ve derse karşı ilgilerine olan etkisi incelenmiştir. Çalışmada eylem araştırması yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Çalışmanın örneklemini, Rize ilindeki bir devlet okulunda 8. sınıfta öğrenim gören 19 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Veri toplama aracı olarak Kimya Bilgilerini Günlük Hayatla İlişkilendirme Testi (GHİT), yarı yapılandırılmış mülakat ve yansıtıcı günlükler kullanılmıştır. Çalışmadan elde edilen nicel verilerin analizinde SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences 22.0) paket programı, nitel verilerin analizinde ise betimsel ve içerik analizinden yararlanılmıştır. Çalışmanın sonunda geliştirilen etkinliklerin, öğrencilerin kimya kavramlarını günlük hayatla ilişkilendirmelerine ve fen dersine karşı ilgilerine olumlu etkisinin olduğu belirlenmiştir. Çalışmada fizik ve biyoloji gibi farklı fen bilgisi konularında da TGA yöntemine dayalı materyaller hazırlanıp etkililiklerinin araştırılması önerilmiştir. In modern education system, to grow up interrogative individuals, individuals build cause-effect relationship and individuals can put into practice that they learned are among the most important objectives. Learning will be more permanent in case of building relationship between the obtained information and daily life. In this context changes are experienced in teaching strategies day by day. In this research, the effects of the activities based on POE strategy on 8th class students' associations of chemistry concepts with daily life and the interest to lecture are investigated. Action research method was used in this study. The sample of the research composed of 19 8th class students studying in the state schools from Rize province. The Associating Chemistry Knowledge with Daily Life Scale (ACKD) and Semi-Structured Interview and Reflective Diaries were used as data collection in the research. The quantitative data were analyzed with SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences 22.0) and the qualitative data were analyzed with descriptive and content analyzes. As a result of the study it has been determined that the developed activities have positive effects on the students' association of the chemistry concepts with daily life and science lesson. It has been recommended in the study that materials should be prepared based on POE method in different science subjects such as physics and biology and the efficiencies should be investigated.
