Hz. Âişe’nin Evlilik Yaşı Örf mü, Din mi?

Abstract

Bu araştırmada Hz. Peygamber’in Hz. Âişe ile evliliği metodolojik bakış açısıyla işlenmiş, temel referans kaynağı olarak hadis, siyer, İslâm tarihi kaynakları ve modern çalışmalar kullanılmıştır. İlk dönem kaynaklardaki rivayetlerden hareketle Hz. Âişe’nin küçük yaşlarda evlendiği savunulmasına karşın, yaşanılan çağın evliliğe bakışı ve Rasûlüllah’a yapılan ithamlardan dolayı da bu evliliğin daha büyük yaşlarda gerçekleştiği ortaya konulmaya çalışılmıştır. Yapılan incelemede bu evliliğin o toplum tarafından normal karşılandığı ve onun tarihsel bir olgu olduğu değerlendirmesinde bulunulmuştur. Ayrıca göreceli olduğu için evlilik yaşının kaç olduğuna vurgu yapılmasından ziyade, onun Allah Rasûlü ile evliliğinin o günkü toplumun örf ve âdetlerine uygun olduğu gerçeği üzerinde durulmuştur. Bu bağlamda Hz. Peygamber ile Hz. Âişe’nin evliliklerinin dine göre değil, örfe göre gerçekleştiği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

In this study, the marriage of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and Aisha was processed with a methodological point of view specific to historical studies and the Qur’an, tafsir, hadith and modern and Islamic history sources were used as the basic reference source. Although it was argued that Aisha married at a young age in the early sources, it was tried to reveal that this marriage took place at an older age because of today’s view to the marriage age and the accusations to the Prophet Muhammad. In the study, it was evaluated that this marriage was accepted normally by the society and that it was a historical phenomenon. It was also emphasized that the marriage age was proper to the customs of the society of that day rather than the emphasis on the age of marriage as it was relative. In this context, it was concluded that the marriage of Prophet Muhammad and Aisha took place with regard to custom but to religion.
