Anne ve babaların okul öncesi eğitime devam eden çocuklarının gelişimine yönelik beklentileri

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı, anne ve babaların okul öncesi eğitimden çocuklarının gelişimine yönelik beklenti düzeylerini belirlemek ve elde edilen sonuçlar ışığında öneriler geliştirmektir. Araştırmada tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemini Kars ilinde M.E.B'e bağlı ilköğretim okullarındaki anasınıflarına ve bağımsız anaokullarına çocukları devam eden 108 anne ve 92 baba oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın verileri, araştırmacılar tarafından geliştirilen bir anketle toplanmıştır. Verilerin frekans ve yüzde değerleri hesaplanmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda; anne ve babaların okul öncesi eğitimden çocuklarının gelişimine yönelik beklentilerinin genelde benzer düzeyde olduğu belirlenmiştir.

This study was conducted to determine the parents' levels of expectations from their children's preschool education and to provide suggestions from the analysis of the data. In this study, the scanning model was employed. The research sample comprised108 mothers and 92 fathers whose children attend primary schools and independent preschools. The data were collected using an interview questionnaire developed by the researchers. The frequency and percentage values of the data were calculated, and the expectation levels of the mothers and fathers regarding the socio-emotional, language, self-care, cognitive and psychomotor development of their children were presented in the form of frequencies and percentages. To sum up, the results of the study show that mothers and fathers have similarly positive expectations from preschools for their children's development.
