dc.description.abstract | Bu çalışmada 20 geçiş ekonomisine ait veri, panel eşbütünleşme ve panel nedensellik analizleri kullanılarak jinansal gelişme ve ekonomik büyüme ilişkisi incelenmiştir. Çalışmada fınansal gelişmişlik düzeyi göstergesi olarak bankacılık kesimi kredilerinin GSYÎH oranı kullanılmıştır. Ekonomik büyüme göstergesi is reel GSYIH artışıdır. | en_US |
dc.description.abstract | This paper examines relationship between financial development and economic growth in transition economies. Domestic credit provided by banking sector (percentage of GDP) and annual percentage change in real GDP are used as indicators of financial development and economic growth respectively. The causal relationship between financial development and economic growth is expressed as supply leading or demand following hypothesis according to the direction of causality. Panel unit root and panel co-integration tests that performed in this paper indicate that financial development and economic growth series have a long run equilibrium relationship. Panel causality tests suggest unidirectional causality from financial development to economic growth and support the supply leading hypothesis for transition economies. | en_US |
