Abstract

Human resources management is becoming increasingly important for all organizations in the era of Industry 4.0. Work motivation and job satisfaction are important aspects in the economic success of an organization, particularly during times of technological changes. It enables businesses to respond quickly to the problems posed by the Fourth Industrial Revolution and remain competitive in the market. The notion of Industry 4.0 refers to the rapid advancement of created technologies and applications in industries, which helps to boost efficiency while also requiring personnel to constantly improve and learn in order to keep up with new technological advancements. Industry 4.0, the Fourth Industrial Revolution, was initiated in Germany and has now received a lot of attention in throughout globe. Varied authors have different ideas of work motivation and job satisfaction. Job satisfaction is a subjective assessment of how one feels about one’s job. As a result, it is linked to a variety of environmental and internal factors. The purpose of this chapter is to provide definitions and reviews of active work motivation and job satisfaction measures used by modern organizations. This chapter presents to businesses and experts with information on various ways for measuring and identifying employee preferences, as well as assisting them in finding a means to motivate and retain their manpower in today’s fast-changing business environment.
