Sosyal bilgiler öğretiminde öğretim teknolojileri ve materyal tasarımı dersinin etkililiğinin i̇ncelenmesi

Abstract

Bu çalışma sosyal bilgiler öğretmen adaylarının zorunlu dersi olan Öğretim Teknolojileri ve Materyal Tasarımı dersinin etkililiğini araştırmak amacıyla hazırlanmıştır. Çalışmaya 4.sınıfa devam etmekte olan 10 kız, 12 erkek öğrenci olmak üzere toplam 22 sosyal bilgiler öğretmen adayı katılmıştır. Araştırma nitel bir çalışmadır. Veri toplama aracı olarak yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme tekniği belirlenmiş olup Öğretim Teknolojileri ve Materyal Tasarımı dersinin yeterlilik ve kazanımlarına ilişkin öğretmen adaylarına yönelik sorular hazırlanmış ve görüşleri alınmıştır. Verilerin analizinde ise nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden betimsel analiz yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın sonucuna göre, sosyal bilgiler öğretmen adayları ders kapsamında yeni teknoloji araç-gereçleri kullanmada istekli olduklarını belirtmişlerdir. Öğretmen adaylarının tamamına yakını ders kapsamında yeni teknoloji ve araç-gereçleri kullanmada istekli olduklarını belirtmekle beraber bir kısım öğretmen adayları, bu araçgereçleri kullanmada "teknik aksaklıklardan dolayı sıkıntı yaşadığını", "bilmedikleri bilgisayar programlarında zorlandıklarını" ve "akıllı tahtayı uygulamalı olarak görmedikleri için zorlandıklarını" "Verilen bilgisayar derslerinin yetersiz olduğunu" belirtmişlerdir. Öğretmen adayları, genel olarak Öğretim Teknolojileri ve Materyal Tasarımı (ÖTMT) dersinin sağladığı kazanımlar ile ilgili olarak, "dersi anlaşılabilir ve somut kılmayı", "öğrenciye ve kazanıma uygun materyal hazırlamayı", "daha ekonomik materyaller yapabilmeyi", "dersi monoton olmaktan çıkarıp eğlenceli hale getirmeyi" ve "daha rahat sunum hazırlayıp belirtmişlerdir. Bu bağlamda öğretmen adaylarının tamamına yakını Öğretim teknolojileri ve materyallerin kullanılmasının sosyal bilgiler derslerinde belirtmişlerdir

This study was designed to investigate the effectiveness of the instructional technology and material design which is compulsory lesson for social sciences teacher candidates. A total of 22 social science teacher candidates, 10 female and 12 male students, participated in the study. The study was a qualitative study Semi-structured interviewing technique has been determined as a data collection tool and questions have been prepared and opinions have been obtained about the teacher candidates regarding proficiency and achievements of Instructional Technology and Material Design course. In the analysis of the data, descriptive analysis method was used as qualitative research methods. Social studies teacher’s candidates stated that they are willing to use new technological tools during their courses. All the candidate teachers stated that they are so willing to use these new technologies; but few of them also emphasised that they are some various obstacles. For instance, there are technical glitches, there are some computer programs they do not know how to use them due to the insufficient computer courses and importantly they have not had a practical experiences for the smart board. Teacher candidates are concerned about the achievements provided by ITMD course in general, "making the course understandable and tangible", "preparing materials suitable for students and acquisitions", "being able to make more economical materials", "preparing and implementing materials with comfortable presentation ". In this context, they pointed out that the use of instructional technologies and materials increase the effectiveness of teaching in social studies courses
